Math
- Saxon Math - I can't say enough good about Saxon math. My children have learned so much from this program. The thing that I like best about it is that it reviews all the time. The program teaches little lessons and then spend the rest of the time reviewing, so they KNOW their math. Having been a math teacher, I know that it's frustrating to re-teach things to students. A lot of schools are now taking (I was going to say stealing) this idea from Saxon and running with it. They are doing their own weekly review. In fact I just read an article about a public school that wanted to change their math program to Saxon math so they could compete with charter schools. The question I asked was, if it works so well, then why don't all the schools use it? The answer is...it's expensive. But as a homeschooler, you can spend more on math an less on P.E. if you want to!
